Simon Collins

We are EXCITED to welcome LEEDS UNITED English Premier League coach SIMON COLLINS to our permanent staff!

Sy is thrilled to begin working with our coaches and teams to help us learn the science of developing top players . With his experience coaching professional players in the European leagues, in addition to time dedicated to the successful development of top-tier athletes from some of the very best football clubs in the world, it is an honor and a pleasure to have this caliber of coach committed to our club permanently, with plans already in place to expand programs to a new level never experienced in Cache Valley!

Sy comes to us direct from LEEDS UNITED in the English Premier League, where he coaches and trains for the Academy.

Simon brings with him a UEFA A license and over 20 years of experience, coaching, and training in the professional game, including at LEEDS UNITED and MANCHESTER CITY.  Sy also is part of the training staff at the i2i International Academy based in York England where he scouts and trains players to enter the pro game. Sy has specialized in building and delivering custom curriculums for these top clubs and we are fortunate to have him now able to work with our program to create a professional curriculum that will help our teams reach their maximum potential.

We are grateful to have Sy joining us and look forward to him being able to work with ALL our coaches and help train and develop the Aggies FC players.

We recognize Sy as a tremendous resource who will help our coaches achieve new heights.

A Letter From Sy

Hi Coaches,

I hope you are all well and have had successful starts to your seasons.

I just wanted to get in touch to give you an update on a couple of major developments:

Personal News

I am really excited to announce that I will be coming to Logan in June full time to work with the Aggies and all of you guys and your teams, as you can imagine this is a huge life changing moment for me so my original plan of coming in April has had to be delayed to organise a bigger long term move. We are also experiencing a slightly different season over here due to covid, but none the less I feel that this is the right time for me to have a new challenge and the Aggies is a perfect fit in terms of a project I am really excited to be involved in and you guys and your teams have contributed to that excitement and my decision to come long term.

Ultimately this will give me the opportunity to work more closely with you all than I have in recent years which will be great, but if you need any support before June please do not hesitate to contact me.

Aggies FC Website

Over the last 12 months myself, Scott, Sharon and Dan have been working really hard to revamp the Aggies website. Within the website we are gong to have a brand new coaches portal where you guys will be able to sign in and have access to lots of coaching resources for your players and your teams. This will be ground breaking for the club and really unique as there will not be another club in the US with something like we are building.

There will be 3 models within the portal a Foundation Model for ages 6 - 12 years old, Youth Model for ages 13 - 18 and a Game Model for ages 13 - 18 as well. This is pretty much mine and a colleague of mine life's work and I cannot wait to share it with you but as you can imagine its taking a little time to get everything together in one place and on a functional website so bare with us it will be amazing.

The Foundation Model is close being ready and in the next few weeks we will put a zoom together so I can show you all the ins and outs. The Foundation Model and Youth Model over lap and go together so even if you have an older age group there will still be lots for you to go after while the other models are being pieced together.

Ok I hope that all of the above excites you as much as it is me and as I mentioned before if you have any questions or need any support please get in touch with me.

Look forward to seeing you all soon.

Thanks,

Simon
